I’ve never been one to make new years resolutions or yearly targets. If truth be told I’m just not that organised. Yet over the last few days I’ve enjoyed reading a number of fellow bloggers ‘Goals for 2017’ posts and thought to myself why not do a similar post in the hope that it will focus my attention and actually aid me in achieving something.
So here it is, my very own ‘Blogging Goals for 2017’.
As I’ve still very very new to the blogging scene, these goals are going to be a 6 month target. This is simply because i’m not sure how high or low to set the bar. By limiting the goals to a 6 months period, i’m hoping this will give me chance to review and amend the goals if required.
So here they are, my Blogging Goals.
- 500 Followers on Twitter – At the time of writing this post, I’m currently on 237 followers. I know what your thinking, another 263 followers in 6 months is easy and yes that might be the case, but I’m of the thinking that the first few hundred followers are easy gains and it will be the content quality from now on that will dictate my popularity on Social Media. No Pressure then!
- 250 Instagram Followers – The Cheeky Dad Blog Instagram account currently has a mass following of 38 people. Yes I know your jealous. I’m not really sure if this goal is achievable as Instagram is not the easiest platform to gain followers, but I will give it my best shot.
- Set up a Facebook Group and get 100 Likes – I’m hoping this one will not be to difficult but as I’m yet to even set up a cheeky dad blog facebook group who knows. This could prove more difficult than finding a virgin in Amsterdam’s red light district.
- Achieve a DA of 5+ – The blog currently has a DA of 1 so I have a long way to go, especially as I have absolutely no idea of how you increase this stat. I’m thinking this is the one that may trip me up.
What are your goals for 2017? I’d love hear them.
